The People's Platform

Economic Equality

I believe all things in the economy are interconnected. It's all about "the money," so follow the money. I believe in equality of opportunity, equal access to "the money", equal funding for our school systems, and equal employment opportunities. I believe every person should have equal opportunity to achieve economic success and financial security. I believe in unions, and the power they give to the workplace to ensure equality in employer-employee relationships.

Criminal Justice

I believe it is reformation time. It is time for police reform, prison reform, and criminal justice reformation. It is time to revise, and reform our criminal justice system. The Constitution of the United States of America has already outlined the principles, but still inequality in the justice system still exists in America.

Racial profiling must end. I believe privatized prisons are dangerous and the war on drugs is biased.

I believe in the decriminalization of marijuana and use of medical marijuana.

I believe an inmate's human rights are violated when they are unable to provide child support while incarcerated. I believe in citizens review groups having subpoena power in order to ensure equality and accountability of law enforcement.

The environment plays a vital role in our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. The air we breathe and the water we drink impacts our body and minds, and thus determines our well-being.

I believe in the Clean Air Act that passed in 1963 to control air pollution on a national level. Clean air is a human right. I believe in the Clean Water Act passed in 1956 regulating pollutant discharges into the waters of the United States, it gave the EPA the authority to implement pollution control programs such as setting waste water standards for industry. It remains to be a violation and lack of enforcement of the laws in poor communities causing health problems.

I also believe in clean renewable energy, solar energy, which will create new jobs, wealth, and will put an end to disparate health outcomes. I believe the age of fossil fuel energy is outlived and hazardous to the environment, particularly in fence-line communities.
