The People's Platform

Women's Rights

I believe it is a woman's right to make decisions about her own body and not the state or federal government. I support PPH and the return of federal resources to ensure that women are given choices and assistance when needed. I am an advocate for women, children, & the family system.

Economic Equality

I believe all things in the economy are interconnected. It's all about "the money," so follow the money. I believe in equality of opportunity, equal access to "the money", equal funding for our school systems, and equal employment opportunities. I believe every person should have equal opportunity to achieve economic success and financial security. I believe in unions, and the power they give to the workplace to ensure equality in employer-employee relationships.

Criminal Justice

I believe it is reformation time. It is time for police reform, prison reform, and criminal justice reformation. It is time to revise, and reform our criminal justice system. The Constitution of the United States of America has already outlined the principles, but still inequality in the justice system still exists in America.

Racial profiling and police brutality against unarmed blacks must end. I support the Black Lives Matter and March for our Lives Movement, and that both should equally have national attention and federal resources. I do not support privatized prisons.

I believe in the decriminalization of marijuana and use of medical marijuana.

The environment plays a vital role in our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. The air we breathe and the water we drink impacts our body and minds, and thus determines our well-being.

I believe in the Clean Air Act that passed in 1963 to control air pollution on a national level. Clean air is a human right. I believe in the Clean Water Act passed in 1956 regulating pollutant discharges into the waters of the United States, it gave the EPA the authority to implement pollution control programs such as setting waste water standards for industry. It remains to be a violation and lack of enforcement of the laws in poor communities causing health problems.

I also believe in clean renewable energy, solar energy, which will create new jobs, wealth, and will put an end to disparate health outcomes. I believe the age of fossil fuel energy is outlived and hazardous to the environment, particularly in fence-line communities.
